Official storm chasing website and exclusive showcase for the photography and work of storm chaser Brian Barnes, freelance videographer for The Weather Channel®.  It is through his rich and broad experience, nearly 20 years of working this medium that he provides us with access to a world of extreme weather, scenery, travel and science that few of us have a chance to see - or feel - in person.

Brian's work vividly expresses his own philosophical concerns about storm chasing, atmospheric science, and conservation of our fragile, but sometimes ruthless planet.  His archives offer an unparalleled selection of pictures - over 500,000 - of storm structure, tornadoes, hail, lightning, natural history, conservation issues, science and travel photography.

What Brian communicates in every photo is a passion for his subjects - a virtual story in a single image that resonates hope or despair, survival or demise, bounty or depletion.  Beauty, Awe, Eloquence, and Wonder. All of them represent the best of Brian Barnes' vision, talent and skill as a photojournalist and storm chaser traveling the world.

We invite you to explore Brian's world of breathless beauty, heart-stopping action, and countless one-of-a-kind events through his photography, his videos or by joining him on a storm chasing tour with StormTours.com™.
