2011 Storm Chasing Tours

Posted by Brian Barnes under Annoucements, Storm Chasing 3 Comments

Our new storm chasing tour schedule for 2011 is available at StormTours.com.

Several of the tours have already been reserved by a television production crew, but we have left the best weeks of the season (in our opinion) open and available for public bookings.  The tours we have available for public booking include the last week of May through to mid-June.  This is normally a big “transition” time in the Great Plains when the upper-jet begins a retreat to the north.  While storms can still happen from South Texas to North Dakota during this time of year, what typically happens is the jet stream becomes more linear allowing for slower moving storms that are easier to chase.

We’re looking forward to making the 2011 season just as exciting as 2010!
