Long track tornadoes, large hail and high winds are expected today across portions of the deep south.  This may be one of those events that catches many people off guard – those are the types of events that end up with a death toll.  So, if your in the south – be weather wise today and be prepared to act in case of an emergency!

We also just want to take a moment to congratulate our friend Kalee Dionne who is starting her first day at CBS 42 in Birmingham, AL today!  Kalee recently took the job to join the CBS 42 weather team in the deep south so she could work in an area that experiences extreme weather – it appears that she’s going to get what she wants!  Congratulations on the new job Kalee and keep them safe!
