We all want a clean earth but I have to say that I don't believe that mankind is the reason for global warming. In the 1970's it was global cooling and by that initiative we should be in an ice age by now..hmm... No, this is really about money and control. There's big money in selling carbon credits to suckers, ask Al Gore. This is a "progressive" agenda. Progressives have been striving for some sort of "Utopia" for over 100 yrs now. Instead, they've managed to infiltrate all levels of our government, including the Republicans and Democrat parties, and have held back real progress on innovation that could have came up with real solutions to many things including energy. (Ex: fuel cell technology was developed in the 60's and has been in use by NASA for over 20 yrs. Where's my fuel cell car???) They're brainwashing our kids with this junk now in our schools and have been trying to change or distort our history as a nation. They will continue doing so until people wake up. Global warming? Global scam if you ask me..

Well, I strictly believe that we all need to do our part to be good stewards of the environment and that we have to take care of our home (planet). I don't think it should make a difference if people believe in the "man-made" aspect to climate change for them to want to take positive steps towards eliminating unnecessary energy and waste. For example, there is a lot of trash floating in our oceans that is mostly plastic. Plastic doesn't break down naturally, so it ends up in the oceans and harms a lot of sea-life. I wrote a piece on it you can read it here: http://www.stormchase.com/stormchasers/conservation.html, it's up to "us" to take care of our home, not our governments. One of the biggest problems associated with "Global Warming", is that people believe if it isn't "real" then there is no need to conserve energy, recycle, etc... (and you're right, the governments of the world are not good examples to follow) However, that is very much not the case. And, it doesn't require the "perfect tree hugger" mentality -- its often the little things that people can do that make the biggest differences. While "man-made" climate change/global warming can (and should) be debated, there really isn't much debate on if or not our used plastics are harming the oceans -- the proof is there and all it takes is a boat ride into it to see the damage first-hand. So there are real environment challenges out there that we need (and should) be concerned about. However, nobody has yet to come up with a major profit scheme for cleaning up our oceans, so not many of us know about these problems. Sadly enough. And, that is in my opinion -- the inconvenient truth.

I thought this was a well reasoned response to blaming everything in climate on global warming. We should all question these pronouncements made by advocates of global warming. Joe Bastardi, AccuWeather, is my favorite forecaster and he stated it succinctly, "have the science to back it up or don't put it out as a fact."
