If there is a tornado, I sure hope someone has it covered! There were hundreds of storm chasers covering a severe thunderstorm on May 5th near Breckenridge, Texas. After all, it was the only storm in the entire state so there wasn’t a lot to choose from.
If you’re not familiar with The Spotter Network (www.spotternetwork.org) each icon on the map represents a storm chaser that is publishing their location using a GPS and a mobile Internet connection.
Of course if you are a member of The Spotter Network, then be sure to get your StormChase.com Flash Map Widget to use on your own website, or social media profile!
In any event, the storm chasers are out in full force this spring and it’s a good thing – it’s been a very active storm season so far!

It almost hosed a few times and had a deep lowering with a rotating wall cloud. Looks like at least one chaser managed to miss it altogether, too bad for him although I don’t know how anyone could have been that far off.
