Whether your a seasoned storm chaser, or someone who just wants to keep tabs on the latest surface observations, chances are that you’ll find the new stormchase.mobi a useful tool for your hand held mobile platform.
Most of the data is available on mobile.weather.gov, but we have selected just the tools that were of most interest to storm chasers. Specifically Convective Outlooks, Radar sites from around Tornado Alley and surface observations.
I created the site a few years ago so that I could monitor developments throughout the day if for any reason I was away from my computer, or chase vehicle. The site has been password protected, but I decided to go ahead and just allow public access to it.
I primarily used the site when I was using a Black Jack phone, but since I have recently upgraded to an iPhone with a full web browser I’ll likely be using more regular websites for accessing data from my phone. However, for Blackberry users or WAP enabled phones stormchase.mobi is a great way to keep an eye on the weather.
If you find it useful, please let me know.
