Oklahoma Tornado Update

UPDATED 10:oo PM CST: Reports just coming in that there have been three tornado related fatalities in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, probably happening at about the time of the radar image below.

I was really hoping that after a tornado hit the metro area of Oklahoma City this afternoon at such a non-seasonal time and the fact that the only injuries that came out of that were reported as minor that we made it through the day without anything more serious than some cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, we now know the worse has been confirmed.


The tornado threat continues across Oklahoma as new warnings just keep getting issued over and over – with a recent report of a half-mile wide tornado near Ardmore, Oklahoma, here is the current base velocity Level II radar image:
